The Rippingtons are a Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz group, founded by guitarist and composer Russ Freeman in 1985. The group has passed the thirty year mark, and continues to innovate. Under Freeman's production, the group has released 22 albums, all of which have attained top 5 Billboard status, with 5 of them reaching #1. Their debut album, "Moonlighting", which Jazziz magazine has called "the number one most influential contemporary jazz album of all time."The group's influences are wide-ranging, from instrumental pop, to rock, to world music, to EDM, to R&B. Some artists having recorded with the Rippingtons include Arturo Sandoval, Jeffrey Osbourne, Kirk Whalum, Kenny G, Dave Grusin, the late Joe Sample, Dave Koz, David Benoit, Patti Austin, Peter White, Rick Braun, Zak Wylde, and many more. The Rippingtons were chosen Best Group 2000 by Billboard BET, and Best Group 2 years in a row, 2001 and 2002 by the Oasis Awards, in addition to Achievement in Video 2001.

Colorado Springs Chapter 13th Annual Fishing Event Who: Persons with disabilities, friends, family, and attendants What: One day event PACKED with fishing, boating, raffles, prizes, and Live Entertainment by Band Vehicle  When: Saturday, September 14, 2019  - Registration starts at 8:30am Fishing is from 10:00am –3:00pm Awards, Silent Auction, and Raffle 3:30pm - 5:00pm Live Entertainment provided by the Band VEHICLE Deadline for Participant registration is August 24, 2019 Where: Lake Pueblo State Park - Meet at South Shore Boat Ramp Why: To open the world of fishing to people of all abilities! Provided: Rods, reels, life vests, adaptive fishing equipment, bait, fish cleaning, boats, pontoons, guides and lunch!! Join us for a day of fun, fishing and camaraderie! Cost: $35 per participant, $10 per friend, family or attendant. A limited number of scholarships are available. (Limit one attendant per participant due to capacity. Are there scholarships available? Yes, there are a limited number of scholarships available.  We invite our Military personnel with disabilities to participate at no cost. Please call or email Cheryl for details. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Each individual or group is responsible for their own transportation to the event.   Is my registration/ticket transferrable? No it is not. Can I update my registration information? Yes, please see contact list for specific individual email addresses.  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes, or bring a copy of it on your smart phone. What is the refund policy? Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the event for a refund. Late arrivals may result in losing assigned boat and registration fee(s). The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay? No, the individuals name must appear on the registration. Can I register more than one person? Yes you can, you just need to enter the number of tickets needed and fill out the required information. Do I need a fishing license to participate? Anyone 16 and older must have a license to fish. Yes, there are several hotel options in Pueblo or camping at the State Park. CSFHNB does not make these reservations for you. You must contact them directly. Arkansas Point is the Campground that is nearest to the Event. You can make reservations as early as March 15, 2019.
