The 12h Annual Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge takes place on July 27, 2019 on the beautiful island of Kauai. Competitors come from around the world to participate in this fun open water event. Hanalei Bay, with it's warm, gentle waters and sandy bottom, provides the perfect venue for five races for different ages and abilities - 8 & under and 12 & under fun races for the kids as well as 1,000 meter, 3000 meter and 1000 meter snorkel and fin races for all ages. Race day registration begins at 7:00am at the famous Hanalei Bay Pier. Pre-Registration details and more event information can be found at hanaleibayswimchallenge.com. The HBSC is the signature fundraising event for the Namolokama O'Hanalei Canoe Club, one of the smallest of 10 canoe clubs on Kauai. Namolokama strives to teach traditional and cultural Hawaiian canoe paddling and good sportsmanship through recreational and competitive canoe racing.
