**Please Read Liability Waiver At End Of Description, Ticket Purchase Includes Agreement**      Summer Bash started in 2013 as a get together with friends in our front yard. We rented a stereo system from Rent a Center and grilled some food up. There were about 25 of us that first year. In 2014, because of a death in the family, we did not throw the party.       In 2015, we threw the Summer Bash again. It was also the first year we had live music, playing on mowing trailers in the front yard. Our attendance went up to about 60 that year. In 2016, we threw the Summer Bash to our biggest crowd yet, almost 100 people. Word was starting to get out about this party.     In 2017, everything changed. A chance encounter with an ad on Facebook, a missed concert, and a canceled headliner added up to lead us to our biggest breakthrough yet. 2017 was the year we introduced Indiana to The Native Howl. Our turnout that year was closing in on 125…in a front yard!!! We decided we needed to explore other options for space.     In 2018, we discovered Walnut Grove Campgrounds Boggstown, IN, through social media and a bit of luck. We spoke with the owners, and conveyed our ideas and our hopes. They were 100% on board and we started planning the biggest bash yet. We brought back The Native Howl and brought another band from Michigan, The Gasoline Gypsies. We talked about maybe opening the Bash to the public, as it had always been a private event, and we decided that we would wait and see how the campground experience was. It was a smash hit and we hosted almost 200 people.     In 2019, we opened Summer Bash Indiana to everyone, and we hoped that people would come out and experience what has been described as "a family reunion with people you’ve never met." Over 400 people were not disappointed. It was one hell of a family reunion, probably better than most normal family reunions! Friends were made, stories were told and created. Summer Bash Indiana 2019 was rated 5.0/5.0 stars on Facebook for a reason!  FAQs  Q: Can I bring my own alcohol into the event area? (CHANGED FOR 2020) A: No. In previous years we allowed this, as we were a private party. Now that we are an official legal entity with a liquor license, we must follow Indiana alcohol laws which do not allow for carry-in beverages in any circumstance. Q: What if it rains the day of the event? A: This is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds. We have a covered stage for the performers. We know it's rained a lot recently.  But we've never been rained out once. Mother nature always looks out for Summer Bash, and we plan on this year being no different. Q: Is camping required? A: You can camp if you want to, but it is not required. We only ask that you maintain safety as a top priority when leaving the campground. If you are unable to drive home, please find a staff member for assistance. Q: How does parking work? A: Parking will be marked, and you will be directed by the gate staff on where to park. If you are tent camping, you will be directed to the Island (the designated camping area). There will be NO CARS ON THE ISLAND this year. You are to drive in, unload your vehicle, then pull back across the creek where you will be directed to regular parking. There will be an area for RV’s as well. Q: When does Summer Bash end? A: The party will wrap up early Sunday morning. We do ask that you pick up your area and exit by 2:00 pm on Sunday. Q: What is included in my ticket? A: Included with your ticket purchase are admission to the Bash, food (currently hamburgers and hot dogs) and alcohol (beer and a few mixed drinks) until they are gone. A limited number of camping tickets are available at an additional cost. Q: Can I bring cornhole, Kan Jam, or any other type of fun summer game? A: This is an emphatic hell yeah! If you have any fun games and want to play them while listening to awesome music, drinking cold drinks, and meeting new friends, then pack them up and bring them with you! Q: Can I bring my RV and hook up? A: Yes, with restrictions. You must purchase a ticket with RV/Camper camping. Currently, we do not have hook up sites available. All camping will be primitive. You can bring an RV but will need to bring a generator to have power. Water hookups will be available, on a first-come, first-served basis. Q: Do I need to bring cash? A: Yes. While the bash is an all-inclusive event, we will have merch tables for the bands, a few vendors, and we do ask to bring a little cash to tip your bartenders, as they are volunteering their time. Q: Can we bring our kids? A: No. The bash has always been and will forever be an adult-only event. We have considered a family-friendly type event, but our insurance will not allow us to serve alcohol with minors present. There are families who live on the property, so you may see a kid around, but they are grandfathered in since they are a resident and we can't ask people to leave their homes just for our party. Q: Are campfires allowed? A: Yes, but please follow safety protocols and use common sense. Q: Will there be firewood and ice available? A: Yes. There will be firewood and ice available for purchase from the campgrounds staff. Q: Are there stores nearby in case I need anything? A: There is a small grocery store located in Fairland, about 4 miles away, called Mr. T’s, but they are only open 8a-8p. There is a Marathon Gas station in Acton, about 8 miles away, that is open 24 hours. There is a Walmart, about 13 miles away, in Shelbyville. Q: What are the rules we need to follow? 1. No disrespectfulness will be tolerated. We are all here to have a good time. This includes cooks, bartenders, staff, security, residents, and other attendees. 2. Keep safety in mind when it comes to campfires and litter and please respect the property. We want to continue our great relationship with them and be able to come back next year. 3. Please listen to direction from staff and security. 4. Alcohol and food are free but know your limits. If you plan on drinking a lot, we ask that you please don’t drive and camp for your safety as well as others. We are currently working on a partnership with Uber/Lyft for discounted rides as well. We will post once we know the details. Q: What am I required to bring? A: Your ID (this is a 21+ event) and your ticket (either paper or phone version). Q: What else should I bring? A: We recommend bringing lawn chairs or blankets, cash, sunscreen, bug spray, and beverages. We recommend bringing your own beverages for your campsite as we will no longer be allowing attendees to bring in their own alcohol. This policy will be strictly enforced by a Bag Search in order to proceed into the festival grounds. Bring camping gear if you wish to spend the night. Most importantly, bring a great attitude. New friends will be made, stories will be told (and created as well), and before you know it, you'll be buying tickets to Summer Bash Indiana 2021!
