Junior Naturalists will spend one Sunday afternoon per month exploring the wonders of nature at Duke Farms with an experienced environmental educator. Through games, classroom and outdoor activities, we will explore the life histories and habitats of our resident feathered and furry friends. *Note: These programs are designed for families with children in grades 1 through 6. At least 1 adult must accompany each family of children during this program, with no more than two adults accompanying each family. We cannot accommodate any younger children who are not currently in 1st grade. This includes the younger siblings of any registered 1st-6th grade participant, as well as any toddlers or babies in arms, carriers, slings or strollers. ACCOMPANYING ADULTS ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO REGISTER. Part of each program is spent indoors learning about the topic of the month and then we go outdoors to identify and observe birds in the field.  This program will run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather! Appropriate shoes are required. Please bring a refillable water bottle January 6: Winter, A Tale of Survival Come learn about some of the more common wildlife residents of Duke Farms and their adaptations for surviving through the winter. We will take to the field and search for wildlife that are active throughout the year. We will also investigate tracks and other signs that animals may be nearby. February 3: Birds at My Feeder Did you know that many birds stay active all winter, but only some will visit our bird feeders? We will explore the topic of feeding birds through the winter months and then go out to observe our feathered friends with binoculars. Come learn to identify some of the birds that frequent bird feeders during the harshest time of the year.

Welcome to Holiday Edition of Brick City Bar Crawl! We are so delighted to host a very special bar crawl with you! The weather tried to play us last time around, so we had to reschedule to a new date. We are expecting 200+ people in total (so don't miss out) and we're going to blanket downtown Newark with good vibes. Each group will visit 4 bars showcasing the many nightlife options downtown Newark has to offer! We'll gather together at a meeting location (to be announced) to meet and greet, organize into your groups, then head out to paint the town. This is a WALKING bar crawl, so wear comfortable shoes. Your admission gets you a Brick City Bar Crawl wristband, which will give you access to the free drinks and/or appetizers that have been arranged with participating establishments. We will end the night at a celebration of the day's good vibes (location TBA)

Do I Have To Make Reservations For The reWax & unWine Candle Making Experience? Yes, please do by booking through Event Brite or call us directly at 646-883-9258 with questions. Space is limited. Please be on time as we will need time for your candle to dry. . What Will I Be Making At The Event? We proudly offer SOY & COCONUT natural wax blend, 8 ounce glass candles. All supplies will be included no need to bring anything... except that BYOB, of course! How Long Will This Take? On average - guests spend 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours at reWax & unWine. The time it takes to develop a personal scent blend varies widely. Candles require time to "set" before they can be taken home. This will need 30 minutes to 1 hour to set before you can take it home. Most guests hang around 'The Cool Bean Studio' or grab a bite to eat at one of the yummy restaurants downstairs while their candle sets. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BE BACK BEFORE THE 2 HOUR SESSION IS OVER. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HOLD CANDLES. What Are Your BYOB Policies? You are welcome to bring in the beverages of your choice. We will have bottle openers and plastic cups ready!
