EVENT WEBSITE PBT has built its repertory around an eclectic mix of classics, modern masterworks and new commissions from both seasoned and emerging choreographers. In March at the August Wilson Center, Artistic Director Terrence S. Orr will hand over the program to five choreographic voices from PBT’s own company of dancers: Amanda Cochrane, Julia Erickson, Yoshiaki Nakano, William Moore and Cooper Verona. Each choreographer will create a signature work on his or her fellow artists, offering audience members a personal, insightful look at the way today’s dancers interpret their own medium. Subscribe now for priority seating, VIP benefits and exclusive savings over single tickets. Single ticket sales open Aug. 21, 2017.

Code: Red, White & Blue to benefit needy veterans PHILADELPHIA – Weeks after it earned 501(C)3 federal tax status, Support Homeless Veterans (SHV) is wasting no time getting to work. On April 21, Code: Red, White & Blue will go into effect – similar to the annual Veteran Affairs-based Stand Down initiative, the event is aimed at bringing together veteran service providers in an effort to make community resources available to local veterans in need. Code: Red, White & Blue will commission the philanthropy of Philadelphia’s local food pantries, as well as provide products and services from local lawmakers, health care advocates, clothing donors and legal aid. From 9 a.m. to noon, the public is invited to the Fishtown Recreation Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave., to help make a contribution to this worthy cause. Feed-Our-Vets.org will operate a mobile food pantry for veterans. A representative from the office of Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-2nd of Pennsylvania) will discuss benefits available to veterans. Ambassadors from Penn State University and Temple University will be doling out personal hygiene products. Penn Medicine will be on hand to help with health care questions and take blood pressure and legal aid and counseling from the Soldier Project will also be readily available. An Iraq War veteran and subject of the Kelly Kennedy book, “They Fought for Each Other” will be serving hot BBQ. A number of Philadelphia firefighters and Mayor Michael A. Nutter have been invited. Created in 2011 to combat the growing epidemic of homelessness among American veterans, SHV is devoted to improving the quality of life of these often forgotten heroes. Our supported housing program combines holistic care with classical military camaraderie to bring veterans together, as a family. Motivated and advocated for, our veterans are provided unique opportunities, allowing them to become invested in a movement that supports disadvantaged veterans and prevent homelessness among those recently discharged. Together, we can help fight for those who once fought so bravely for us.

Come early for the door prizes!! Spread the word about this coupon class...  Share on Facebook, Twitter or Pin It!       Colleen, attended  the coupon class said-- "I've been couponing for some time and was able to cut my food bill in half. After coming to your class I cut my bill in half again! I spent only $107 for $400 worth of food and paper products. I used $100 in coupons. Today I paid $5.83 for 4 packs of Perdue drumsticks and 2 jars of 30oz Hellmans mayo. Cool huh! Thank you for enlightening me further."    FAQs   What do I need to bring to the event? Just bring your smiling face and a pen or pencil to take notes. We will have some handouts for you to use, but if you are a very diligent note taker, you may want some extra paper.    Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You can bring your printed ticket, your electronic ticket on your smart phone, or you can just come to the class and check in at the door with just your name as long as you have already registered. Isn't technology fantastic! Can I bring my child with me? We don't encourage you to bring your little ones because this is a class and we want you to be able to take good notes. Others will be there to do the same. That being said, we are both moms and completely understand if you need to bring your kiddos. Please be courteous though, and if they get squirmy we would ask that you take them out so others can hear. Children under 18 do not need their own ticket.  Can I get more than one ticket so I can bring my friend? We LOVE it when friends come together! This is way more fun with a buddy. We do ask that you do not reserve more than one ticket per person/per email address. When the class is over, we will send class notes to everyone who has attended and it is so much easier for us if they are already registered. There will be an opportunity to register at the door for those friends who are super hesitant to come :).
