The Improvables have been providing the Center’s audiences with zany, raucous one-of-a-kind and never-to-be-repeated humor since 2002. Each show features a series of games in which the performers act out various scenes, based on audience suggestions, without advance knowledge of the topics. Bring your kids (age 10+) for an Amusing, Boisterous, Candid, Delightful, Exciting, Fantastic, Giddy, Hilarious, Insightful, Jocular, Kooky, Loud, Maniacal, Nutty, Offbeat, Pleasant, Quirky, Ridiculous, Silly, Theatrical, Unabashed, Varying, Whimsical, Xenial, Yielding, Zealous, plain old good time when the Improvables entertain! Whether they are speaking in questions, in alphabetical order, gibberish or pantomime, you are sure to have fun! The Improvables are: Mike Griffin, started his acting career in the fourth grade when he got his first laugh by intentionally falling off of the front of the stage. Upon hearing the audience's response, he quickly realized that physical comedy was...well...funny. After a few years in school theater as well as community theater, he perfected his techniques. The highlight of his career was when he played the role of the Royal Shoe Fitter in the Cinderella play where upon smelling a damsel's foot, she kicked him in the head. He has never been the same since. Mike is a teacher in Bridgewater, NJ. Phil Hochman, one of the original members of the group, and the oldest, is semi-retired from his position in sales, and has a degree - a BS in BS. He has been performing since the middle 60's in community theater, off-off Broadway, films, and commercials. Phil enjoys making people laugh, no matter what, and is a maven on almost anything, just ask him. He now does standup comedy and is available for parties, birthdays and conceptions. He resides in Plainfield, NJ with his third and last wife, Karen. Michele Kerekes, born to the luckiest parents on earth 12/21/1962, continues to bring constant joy and laughter to those who surround her. Blessed with 2 boys (who also think she’s hysterical) she is in the flooring industry and uses humor to make sales. Michele has been with the Improvables now for 7 years and she says it's the best decision they ever made! David Kritz, spends much of his time with his software business, occasionally taking time out to work on a web site for an improv troupe. He enjoys skiing, backpacking, traveling, photography, and unloading the dishwasher. Dave's acting career ended abruptly when he graduated from high school in 1985, but was fortunate enough to be able to join The Improvables in 2004. He has been a regular performer with the troupe ever since. Randi Schweriner, started acting formally at Cedarbrook Middle School with a fabulous rendition of an ugly step sister in "The Final Dress Rehearsal." Years passed. She studied at McCarter Theatre in Princeton. More years passed…. And here we are. She attributes the sparkling; comedic personality she brings to the Improvables to countless bad dates. In addition to Improv, she enjoys Alphabetizing, Baking, Crosswords, Dancing, Eagles - Football, Gilmore Girls, Humor, Ice cream, Jocularity, Kids (her own), Lox, M*A*S*H, Nougat, Otters, Politics, Quiet, Reading, Stand-up paddleboards, Traveling, Underwear, Variety, Writing, Xeroxing, Yoga, and Zumba. She resides in Bridgewater with her husband (see Dave above) and their two amazing sons. Brandon Lericos, has been acting and improvising since High School and loves hanging around the old people in the Improvables. When he’s not working, he enjoys being hilarious, alerting those vertically challenged of the weather before it hits them, playing games and cooking. Jeremy Kritz, is the youngest Improvable and the newest member of the group. He got in through a combination of his astounding wit, his dashing good looks, and the fact that his parents let him in. He studies Computer Engineering as a junior at Rutgers University, and has been doing Improv for most of his life. The Improvables provide audiences with outlandish humor, surprises, and an all-around great time.
