After a three year hiatus, the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art is resurrecting the George Ohr Arts Festival and incorporating two new additions: craft beer and a camper rally. The first ever George E. Ohr Art & Beer Festival will take place on Saturday, October 6 from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The festival will offer a diverse array of arts and crafts vendors; craft beer tents; a homebrewers' competition; a camper rally with vintage campers, skoolies and camper vans; a community car art restoration project; live music; a whacky ceramics-based performance by the Mad Potter of Bay St. Louis Steve Barney; a ceramics throw-down between the coast's finest potters; and food vendors! The festival will fall during Cruisin’ the Coast, one of the largest tourism attractions to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, last year seeing over 8,000 classic cars register. The museum anticipates a crowd of 2,000+ attendees and dozens of vintage campers to participate in this year’s festival. The cost of entry to the Ohr Art & Beer Fest is free, but access to the beer tents will require purchasing an armband: General Admission armbands: $25 -buyers will receive ten 5 oz. beer pours VIP armbands: $50 -buyers will receive a commemorative ceramic beer stein -five full 16 oz. pours *Only 100 VIP armbands will be available for purchase. If you’re the owner of a vintage camper, camper van, or skoolie, OOMA’s grounds will be available for a two night camping post for $75. Inquiries and payments can be sent to visitorinfo@georgeohr.org. Mark your calendars for the biggest and best festival OOMA has ever seen! Tickets are on sale now at georgeohr.org/events.
