More than hiking, more than networking, we are a group of women enjoying the outdoors and the way it brings us home to ourselves. We embrace all skill levels, embrace each woman in her wholeness and build lasting connections. We will begin our time together with some reflection and grounding, proceed with a meditative hike in this beautiful, peaceful setting. This will also include the infamous Doll Head trail for those who are interested in urban art. The hike will be tailored to the level and energy of the group (a gentle hike). During the hike there will be time for reflection and discussion as well as quiet introspection. And we will close our time together with some meditation and reflection and you’ll have a chance to get to know each other and begin building community with each other.

Refuge Recovery is a Buddhist-oriented path to freedom from addiction. This is an approach to recovery that understands: “All individuals have the power and potential to free themselves from the suffering that is caused by addiction.” We feel confident in the power of the Dharma, if applied, to relieve suffering of all kinds, including the suffering of addiction. This is a process that cultivates a path of awakening, the path of recovering from the addictions and delusions that have created so much suffering in our lives and in this world.
